Passport Apostille

The process of getting passport apostille is generally straightforward. However, there are some requirements which must be adhered to. 

Most importantly, the original passport cannot be submitted for apostille. Only passport copy is apostille certificate eligible. 

Further, copy of the passport must be properly notarized in accordance with notary statutes in the state where the copy is being notarized. Most states will allow for US Passport copy and Foreign Passport copy to be apostille. However, some states may require that the specific language is used for notarization of foreign passport copies for apostille purposes. 

Does the passport copy need to be color copy for apostille?

No, it does not. However, we recommend that the copy is clear and high quality for passport copy apostille processing.

Does the passport copy need to contain all pages for apostille?

For apostille purposes passport copy does not need to contain copies of every passport page. Only open book copy of the Bio-page with signature is typically required. However, some foreign governments require complete copy with apostille. In such cases, each and every page must be copies and notarized for apostille processing.
