Document Legalization for United Arab Emirates

Personal & Business Documents from the United States to be Legalized for UAE

All records, statements, certificates, diplomas, transcripts and other documents issued in the United States and destined for use in the UAE must be properly attested. The procedure is known as chain authentication, with the resulting outcome of the stamp from the Embassy or Consulate of the United Arab Emirates in the US. However, to get to that part documents must:

  1. Meet the requirements set by state and federal governments, as well as those set by the UAE Embassy for attestation and
  2. Must be processed through County Clerk (where necessary), Secretary of State and US Department of State. 

Personal documents for UAE:

Documents which are required for UAE Attestation and are considered personal include birth certificates, marriage certificates, death certificates, background checks, personal power of attorney, affidavit of marital status and similar records. All of these must be properly certified & recently issued to be eligible for attestation.

Business documents for UAE:

Any records that have connection to business or trade will be deemed business documents and charged in accordance to the set fee schedule. This will include, but is not limited to: articles of incorporation, articles of formation, articles of amendment (name change, address change, etc), reinstated certificates, annual reports, agreements, contracts, By-laws, appointments, GMP Certificates, FDA certificates, FSCs, manufacturer's certificates, resolutions, minutes, distribution agreements, power of attorney, certificate of good standing and others. 

Commercial shipping documents:

According to the UAE Embassy regulations, for attestation all invoices, packing lists and certificates of origin must be processed through DocVertifications service in Washington DC. Without such verification commercial shipping documents will not be attested by the Embassy or Consulate of the United Arab Emirates. 

Diplomas, Transcripts and other Educational Documents:
